The DUNU PRS 6 has a fairly standard soundstage width. In terms of detail retrieval, I would say it is on par with the HIFIMAN HE600, and therefore more resolving than the HIFIMAN Arya Stealth.
The speed of attack is roughly comparable to the Fostex T50RP MK4. However, the PRS 6 has noticeably less bass impact and physical bass presence than the T50RP MK4. The mids and treble are highly detailed, while the treble itself is very smooth and never shouty or fatiguing.
Ear tip comparison
With the black tips, the soundstage becomes significantly wider. However, the bass becomes almost impossible to distinguish as a separate element. It remains highly detailed, but there is simply not enough bass presence. Even adding +5 dB of bass with APO/PEQ does not bring the bass to the same level as with the white tips.
Apart from the bass presentation and soundstage, the overall sound signature remains largely unchanged compared with the white tips.
The red tips significantly increase the amount of bass, but at the cost of clarity and detail retrieval. The overall sound becomes noticeably less precise and less resolving.
Battlefield 6
For Battlefield 6, I find the black tips essentially unusable. The bass is so understated that when there are multiple sound sources, it becomes very difficult to distinguish gunshots and footsteps from more than one direction simultaneously. In the chaotic sound environment of Battlefield, this lack of bass presence makes the overall presentation too…
